Author and clairvoyant Nancy Ann Tappe saw a new spirit color (or frequency) she had never seen before. She described it as Indigo and coined the term in her 1982 book, Understanding Your Life Through Color. Not all children being born now have this frequency, but Nancy estimates that 90% of children under the age of 10 are Indigo children. Also, in my experience, not all the wonderfully aware children have indigo auras. Many that I have seen have yellow auras. However, the information coming out about Indigo children is useful to help us change paradigms about how we raise and interact with all children, most of whom are more aware at a younger age than any generation before.
I have never had children, and have not been associated with them much. My dear friend Susan has a little boy who I am very close to, Ryan. I was a teacher’s aide at his preschool for the communicatively handicapped. What I found were exceptionally bright and sensitive children who do have some problems interacting and communicating, but they have something else, too. They will not work with you unless you are absolutely present and real with them, and drop all authoritative demands and deal with them like wise spirits in little bodies.
It is thanks to Ryan that I was there at his preschool. My guide, Zachariah tells me that yes, these are capable, powerful beings coming in, but they need the guidance of those light beings who have come in the generations before. He showed how it was important that I make a connection with them as I and many of you will be dealing with these Indigo people in the future.
Below are the most common traits of Indigo children:
- They come into the world with a feeling of royalty (and often act like it).
- They have a feeling of deserving to be here and often act like it.
- Self-worth is not a big issue. They often tell parents who they are.
- They have difficulty with absolute authority (authority without choice or explanation).
- They simply will not do certain things. For example, waiting in line is difficult for them.
- They see better ways of doing things at home and at school, which makes them seem like system busters (They ARE!).
- They seem antisocial unless they are with their own kind. School is often difficult for them socially.
- They will not respond to guilt discipline.
- They are not shy in letting you know what they need.
It appears to me that they are representing a vibration or etheric pattern that we can adopt for ourselves. More will continue to come out about this from all sources, so you might want to watch for books and articles. Drunvalo Melchezidek feels these kids have different DNA and come from somewhere else. He also says they are superpsychic. I do not have a specific reference for him, but you can look up his name on the internet or in a library.
I did a reading for a woman recently who is Indigo. She is 37, and appears to have been born that way, so these beings began coming in quite a while ago.
Many talk of Star Seeds and Star children. Star children have come from the higher dimensions to raise the consciousness of the planet, by walking the path of earth life and entering density. By awakening to who they are, they raise the energy of humanity with them, and help us all step out of the illusion, realizing we are truly spirits and have spiritual skills that we can use! I see the Indigo children as the next part of the star seeded progression towards the Ascension of humanity and the Earth (meaning coming into full awareness of who we are spiritually).

Zachariah on Indigo Children

Hello all. I greet you each with love as always. This subject this month is dear to me as I am able to touch your hearts in a very real way.
This experience on Earth has been a play, with sections and parts. As each new section opens, we come closer to uniting them all in one grand play with every section being a part of the whole, rather than one preceeding the other. The new children coming in who you call the Indigo children are different from you in some ways, but they are here to show you your potential also, and will aid in bringing the unity we desire to fruition. They will challenge you, but remember that what you see in them is inherent in you, too.
How are they different? (My question) These children are different in that they have the ability to be in touch with the galaxy beyond. Their thoughts, inspirations, sense of guidance, and knowledge of how to do things comes from a greater realm of being than what you have historically had up until now. From my perspective, this knowledge is indeed coded into the body. Everything about their bodies has a glow about it. The feel the resonance of the universe in their bones (Jaculin Dorman speaks of chemical coding in the etheric). It is greater intelligence in the sense that they are aware of more on all levels, including that which you call extrasensory perception. How was this achieved? A veil of ignorance was lifted at the request of many of you, and the children born after this time had the full attributes of being born to an Earth that had access to greater portals. Let them teach you while they play. Watch how they do things and how they know things. Let your heart resonate with them, and you will be joining them.
They respond to compassion and reason but do not understand at all the old ways of conditioning that many of you have been raised with. It will not be uncommon to see them wilt and look confused if you resort to a command such as do this because I said so. Rather if you explain that you are tired and need them to cooperate in order to get something done, they will respond much better.
There are many children being born now, not just the Indigos. There are warrior children being born also who have a red valance about their spirits. These are those I have spoken of before. They are not bad, but are here to destroy the old system in a radical way. It is a possible path for humans to travel. Many who have seen images of the police state in the future have seen these children grown and fulfilling their destiny. The fact that many Indigos are being born shows that there is acceptance and growth of a higher way. Again, watch the media. The influence that comes with this wave of beings coming in to earth can be seen in many films being produced.
The Star Wars film, the Phantom Menace, showed the potential of the Indigo child. The more you open your heart to the higher possibilities, the more you bring them to pass.
